The marketing department oversees issues dealing with merchandise available for purchase in the stores. Items included are groceries, HBA and tobacco products. It involves developing and implementing marketing strategies as well as ensuring that all marketing plans are carried out. Currently we are working on Price Book and scanning project which ensures that all products are scanned in and out. For a timeline of this project click here: "Timeline" Store level issues are also addressed, which include: resolving conflicts between the store and its vendors, pricing of products, and positioning of products. Overall, it is marketing that effectively gets the goods to the store and makes them appealing so the consumer will purchase them.
